Province of
New Brunswick

Imagine studying in New Brunswick

What's it like?

A bilingual province

You will live on the Atlantic coast of Canada, in the first French colony in North America. The school programme in New Brunswick, the only bilingual province in the country, will allow you to speak both English and French. You will live with a bilingual or French-speaking family and attend classes in French at school.

All schools in the province are community schools, a model that—based on collaboration between school staff, parents, students, and the community—ensures a dynamic and enriching educational system. The activities organised allow young people to get to know the area and discover their passions. You will participate in cultural and sporting events, shows, gastronomic or scientific workshops... There is something for everyone!

Everywhere you go, you will enjoy magnificent landscapes: beaches, mountains, plains and national parks follow one another, offering breathtaking views. Prepare to be amazed.

New Brunswick

On the east coast of Canada

New Brunswick borders Québec to the north and the American state of Maine to the west. To the east and south, it is mainly surrounded by water, as well as touching the province of Nova Scotia.

In this area of Canada, you can experience all four seasons, and every moment of the year is an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, sports and contact with nature. You can see the highest tides in the world in the southern Bay of Fundy and the Reversing Falls, where the rapids flow backwards!

The provincial capital, Fredericton, offers many opportunities to explore the vibrant cultural life. The port city of Saint John, with its museums and beaches, is a great destination for a sunny day.

A third of the population here is French-speaking, and most of them belong to the Acadian culture. Very proud of their traditions and known for their welcoming spirit, they will give you a warm welcome and offer you an unforgettable school programme. And there will be plenty of whale watching too!
