Imagine studying in the South of France

The programme low-down

The Flex formula

By choosing the Flex – Southern France programme, you will have the opportunity to live your exchange in one of the most diverse and fascinating areas of France.

You may be placed in any of the departments that make up Le Midi, the south of the country: from the coastal areas surrounding Marseille and Montpellier, to the hinterland around Toulouse, Tolosa, Albi, Nîmes or Bordeaux, passing through idyllic rural areas, mountains and national parks.

It's the ideal choice if you hope for an experience that incorporates a bit of everything - nature, culture, a mild climate and cities rich in history.

Southern France

A mosaic of landscapes and cultures

The South of France offers an incredibly variety of landscapes, from mountains to plains, art cities, beaches, medieval citadels and stone villages that look taken out of a movie. Sunny days are frequent, and it is ok to slow down - the lifestyle tends to be more relaxed.

You could find yourself in Bordeaux, with its classy UNESCO-recognised city centre, or near Marseille, a dynamic and multicultural port city on the Mediterranean sea. You could also find yourself in less-known towns such as Auch, Narbonne or Rodez, where daily life feels genuinely French and authentic.

The whole area is sprinkled with nature reserves and parks, Roman ruins, medieval buildings as well as contemporary art museums. You will be able to explore canyons, untouched beaches, sunny tablelands or towns and villages with outdoor markets and pretty cafes overlooking the local main square.

The South is also a taste buds heaven - here, you'll be able to try traditional local dishes like cassoulet and mouth-watering specialties such as fresh goat cheese, Quercy melon and the famous Arcachon Bay oysters.

Choosing this region means opening the doors to a multi-faceted France, where each weekend has the potential to become a trekking in the mountains or a beach trip, a mix of tradition and modernity. It's an unmissable opportunity to grow, explore and really feel part of a living, welcoming culture.
