The programme low-down
The Flex formula
On a Flex - Urban Area programme, you will be able to express a preference for a placement in a city of at least 30,000. Keep in mind that your host family may not live right in the centre - you could be in the suburbs or the outskirts of the city, but you will have access to all those services that a medium-size urban centre typically offers: local cultural events and activities, cinema, restaurants, parks, public transport...
Your host city could be located anywhere in France, as there is no avenue to express a preference for a specific city or area. This is a great opportunity to experience the French lifestyle firsthand and attend a local secondary school, with the guarantee that you will be immersed in an urban environment.
